The Birth of Mixed Media Art: A Decade of Crafting Timeless Heirlooms
Back in 2013, I was searching for a way to create a unique form of artwork—one that would not only celebrate our greatest achievements, our families and connections, but also immortalize them in a way that was truly distinctive. I have always loved mixed media, and my passion for artistic experimentation led me to dive deeper into personal research on different artists. As a romantic at heart and a great admirer of Impressionism, I found inspiration in the works of Renoir and Klimt, both of whom beautifully captured emotion, movement, and the richness of human connection.
This passion and exploration ultimately led to the birth of the first Mixed Media Artwork. The vision was clear: to create pieces that were not only photographic but also textural, emotional, and timeless. However, bringing this vision to my clients was a challenge. Each piece required a meticulous level of care, patience, and craftsmanship. From the initial concept to the final application of texture and paint, every step had to be executed with precision to ensure that each artwork was a true heirloom.
When my wife, Nisha, saw the results, she immediately recognized the potential of what I was creating. Without hesitation, she jumped on board and encouraged me to fully embrace this artistic journey. It wasn't long before she became an integral part of the process, refining the mixed media techniques and perfecting the "Mixed" aspect of the art. Over the years, her skill and dedication have elevated the craft, and together we have built a strong creative partnership.
Now, after a decade of perfecting our techniques, we take immense pride in creating these one-of-a-kind heirlooms for our clients. Every piece is a labor of love, a fusion of photography and fine art that transforms cherished moments into timeless works. What started as a personal artistic quest has evolved into a deeply meaningful offering—one that allows families to celebrate their bonds in a way that is as unique as their stories.
