Portrait Artist in Miami

Private portrait commissions in the Miami Design District.

On selected dates, Jérôme works with individuals, couples and families from Miami and across South Florida. Each commission begins with a private, collaborative portrait session in the Miami Design District and is completed as framed monochrome portraiture or original mixed-media artwork for your home.

A Fine Art Portrait Commission in Miami

Because Jérôme works in Miami on selected dates, each commission is planned before the studio appointment. The first conversation is about who the portrait is for, why it matters and what you hope the finished artwork will preserve.

At the Miami Design District studio, Jérôme guides the portrait session from beginning to end. There is nothing to rehearse and no need to know how to pose. Attention is given to expression, gesture and the relationships between you.

After a short pause, you see the portraits at a private, same-day viewing. You select the portraits that matter most and consider how they should be completed—as framed monochrome portraiture, original mixed-media artwork or a collection created for your home.

Monochrome Portraiture and Original Mixed-Media Artwork

Every commission begins with the photograph. At the viewing, you consider how the portrait should be completed and what belongs in your home.

Monochrome Portraiture

A monochrome portrait remains entirely photographic. It is printed with pigment inks on cotton rag, then framed or bound as a finished artwork for the home.

Original Mixed-Media Artwork

An original mixed-media artwork begins with a photograph created by Jérôme. Nisha gives it physical form through pigment, oil and beeswax, building colour, texture and depth by hand. Each artwork is entirely one of a kind.

The Miami Design District Studio

Jérôme receives clients by appointment in the Miami Design District. The studio is arranged for both the portrait session and the private same-day viewing, allowing you to complete the session and see what was created in a single visit.

Miami appointments are offered on selected dates and reserved in advance. Clients come from throughout Miami and South Florida, including Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Brickell, Key Biscayne, Bal Harbour, Fisher Island, Sunny Isles, Surfside and Pinecrest.

When I saw it on the wall, I understood what he was making. It was not a photograph. It was us.

Planning Your Miami Portrait Session

Allow approximately two hours for the complete studio appointment, including the portrait session, a short pause and the private viewing. Because Miami commissions are offered on selected dates, appointments are reserved in advance.

Before the appointment, Jérôme will ask you to consider who should be included and what you want the portrait to preserve. If you are considering artwork for a particular wall, measurements and a simple phone photograph of the room are useful.

You do not need to decide on the size, format or finish beforehand. Those decisions are made after you have seen the portraits.
