An original mixed-media artwork begins with a JÉRÔME original portrait. Nisha brings it into physical form through pigment, oil and beeswax, working the surface by hand. Each finished artwork is one of a kind.

Jérôme first opened a gallery at Bonsecours Market years ago. He is now returning to it — coming back to a landmark that has housed makers and merchants since 1847, in the heart of Old Montreal. The space is arranged for both the portrait session and the private same-day viewing.

We receive clients by appointment. Clients come from across Greater Montreal — Old Montreal, Westmount, Outremont, the Golden Square Mile, Town of Mount Royal and Laval — as well as second-home families from the Laurentians and the Eastern Townships. From downtown Montreal or major highways: Head toward the Ville-Marie Expressway (QC-136 E).
Take Exit 6 toward Rue Saint-Antoine / Rue Saint-Laurent.
Continue onto local Old Montreal streets, merging onto Rue Bonsecours, which leads directly down toward Rue Saint-Paul E.

Take the Orange Line to Champ-de-Mars station, which is the closest metro stop.
Exit the station and walk southeast for about 5 to 6 minutes (roughly 300 to 400 meters). Head toward Old Montreal via Rue Berri or Rue Bonsecours down toward Rue Saint-Paul E.

Alternatively, Place-d'Armes station (also on the Orange Line) is about a 10-minute walk west.

Planning Your Montreal Portrait Session

Allow approximately two hours for the complete studio appointment, including the portrait session, a short pause and the private viewing. Appointments are reserved in advance.

Before the appointment, we will ask you to consider who should be included and what you want the portrait to preserve. If you are considering artwork for a particular wall, measurements and a simple phone photograph of the room are useful.

You do not need to decide on the size, format or finish beforehand. Those decisions are made after you have seen the portraits.
