In 2002, when Nisha and I moved to Ottawa. She saw some of my past work and inspired me to open our first studio in Canada. Lina & Mariette
At our Ottawa portrait studio, every session is about more than just photographs—it’s about connection, presence, and the courage to be seen.
When Mariette came to the studio, she was here for her sister, Lina. She wanted to celebrate Lina’s journey, capturing her in a way that felt authentic and true. Mariette had always been hesitant to step in front of the camera. “No pictures of me alone, please,” she said at first.
But in that quiet studio space—where trust and empathy guide every portrait—something shifted. Mariette let herself breathe. She smiled. She felt safe to be seen.
“It wasn’t as scary as I thought,” Mariette later shared. “It was fun. I love my picture.”
That’s what our Ottawa portrait studio is all about: creating a space where sisters, families, and individuals alike feel comfortable and celebrated. Every session is more than a photoshoot—it’s an experience of belonging.

Areas We Serve
Ottawa is our beginning. From the Glebe’s cafés to Westboro’s river light, from the calm of Rockcliffe Park to the bookshops of Old Ottawa South, families from across the capital region make their way to our studio—Stittsville and the greater Ottawa area, Manotick along the Rideau, and across the river from Chelsea, Wakefield, and Gatineau. Sessions are by appointment in our Ottawa studio, where we craft portraits meant to live on your walls for years.
