JÉRÔME SCULLINO, PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

A Bespoke Portrait Experience and Handcrafted Artworks for Families and Individuals

Mixed media portrait wall art of two sisters, older girl cradling a baby, displayed in a modern living room.

[Intro]

Most people arrive with a version of themselves they’ve learned to present.
In my studio, that can soften.

I create portraits that feel like home: calm, honest, and grounded in presence.

"The portraits are filled with emotion and authenticity."

[About]

You’re not just being photographed. You’re being seen.

I am a portraitist, artist, and entrepreneur working between Miami, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. My work is guided by a simple belief: in the absence of judgment, something real has room to appear.

My perspective was formed between the high-altitude clarity of Val d'Isère in the French Alps and the coastal light of Saint-Raphaël. Growing up between these two worlds—boarding school in the mountains and summers on the Mediterranean—I learned photography as a way to ground myself. It was never about the performance of the image; it was about the quality of the attention.

A background in art, philosophy, and anthropology eventually led me to Canada, where I met my wife and creative partner, Nisha. Together, we have spent nearly two decades refining a process that honors the weight of a story.

In 2007, the series Les Aînés de Collioure defined my path. It was a study of dignity and time—a realization that the most powerful portraits are those that require nothing from the subject but their presence.

Today, I create black and white heirloom portraits and handcrafted mixed media works, finished by hand and made to live on your walls, quietly becoming part of your family’s story.

Art isn’t in the pose.
It’s in what stirs beneath it.

My work is rooted in presence, restraint, and the belief that what matters most deserves to endure.

[Family]

When I am not behind the camera, I am centered by my family. My daughters and my wife, Nisha, are my constant reminders of why we preserve stories: because family is where the most meaningful history begins.

[Vision]

There is a profound alignment that occurs when one is truly seen. In that space, portraiture returns to its rightful place: as a form of reverence and legacy. The work is not merely personal; it is a permanent record of the person you have become.

[Mission]

For those who have built extraordinary lives, the ultimate expression of abundance is the love shared and the legacy left behind. These commissions honor the relationships that define your story, preserved and celebrated for generations to come

"The photographs are filled with emotion and depth."

The Presence of Place

Portraits are commissioned in quiet, light-filled environments—from Miami’s Design District and the refined pace of Yorkville in Toronto, to the historic stillness of Ottawa and Montreal, and the restorative calm of Mont-Tremblant in the Laurentians.
