There’s a lot of noise in the news these days. It feels unsafe—often unsavoury. The world seems divided. But is it really?
Since when did having a different point of view make us enemies?
I’m no politician. But I know this for sure: the families who visit me—whether for family photography in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, or even Miami—are kind and grounded people. What’s presented as division feels far from our everyday lives.
Here in my Mont-Tremblant home, I’m reminded how different the truth feels. People still gather. They still laugh. They still care.
And that’s why I love this work.
Real home lives in the heart. So does our community—and our country. Through portraiture, I witness the beauty of the people who make up these places. I capture the essence of connection, and that leaves me incredibly optimistic.
Every day, I meet extraordinary people. And every portrait is proof.
Love and abundance,
Jérôme
