A Bespoke Portrait Experience and Handcrafted Artworks for Families and Individuals

[Intro]

Most of us arrive with a practiced smile, a pose, a version of ourselves that looks put together. In my studio, we can let that go. I create portraits that feel like home: calm, honest, and made to reveal how powerful you already are.

"Through his unique, playful approach, Jerome has the uncanny ability to draw out the authentic from his subjects. I found he was able to relate to my young children in a very special way, bringing out their true nature, and capturing it with his lens. Bravo Jerome!"

[About]

You’re not just being photographed. You’re being seen.

I am a portraitist, artist, and entrepreneur with studios in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Miami. What sets my work apart is a simple belief: in the absence of judgment, true beauty has room to appear. I love helping people see themselves in a different light.

In the studio, I am less interested in performance than in presence. I listen to your story, pay attention to the quiet details, and create a space where you can simply be yourself. From there, we craft portraits—whether in classic black and white or as handcrafted mixed media pieces—made to live on your walls and become part of your family’s history.

[Biography]

I was born in Saint-Raphaël on the French Riviera, but I grew up between two worlds. Each year, I spent four to five months in the French Alps, in Val d’Isère, and went to boarding school down the valley. It was there, at eleven years old, that I learned photography, and discovered what still drives my work today, the quiet power of noticing someone, and making them feel seen.

My path was never a straight line. I studied art in England, then moved to New York to study philosophy, anthropology, and creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College. Later, I spent formative years in the Caribbean, where I began working professionally behind the lens. I eventually settled in Canada, where I completed a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science, and where I met my wife and creative partner, Nisha.

In 2007, a pivotal chapter began when I exhibited my first major fine art series, The Elders of Collioure, in France. That work clarified what I was here to do, create portraits with dignity, emotion, and lasting presence, not images that disappear with time.

Today, I work between my studios in Miami, Toronto, Ottawa, and the Montreal region. I create timeless black and white heirloom portraits, and handcrafted mixed media pieces finished with beeswax and oil paint. The experience is guided, calm, and personal, and the final work is made to live on your walls as part of your family’s story.

[Family]

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m probably chasing my daughters’ laughter or debating the best croissant in town with my wife. Well, I was, until discovering I was gluten intolerant. Now we just argue about it. My family grounds me. They constantly remind me why stories matter: because family is where every meaningful story begins.

[Vision]

A portrait is not just a picture...
By aligning with our higher self through the experience of being truly seen, I create work so personal and powerful, it transforms how people see themselves—and how they are remembered. In doing so, I aim to restore portraiture to its rightful place: as a form of legacy, reverence, and art.

[Mission]

For those who have built extraordinary lives...
True abundance isn’t just in what you own—it’s in the love you share, the moments you cherish, and the legacy you leave behind. My work isn’t simply about portraits; it’s about capturing the people and relationships that define your story, preserved and celebrated for generations to come.

“Jérôme’s passion and amazing eye – is contagious. His work is outstanding and anyone who hires him is LUCKY to have the opportunity to have their project captured by a special and talented individual.”
